In 1954, Wicca was named by Gerald Gardner in his book "Witchcraft Today". Gardner introduced it as "Wica", but later, in the 1960s, an extra "c" was added to the name. According to Gardner, the word was derived from Scots-English and means "wise people".
Wicca is a nature-based religion that celebrates the cycles of nature, promotes environmental activism, and values personal responsibility and gender equality.
Wiccans practice magic, embrace personal gnosis, and have the freedom to interpret and adapt Wiccan principles to fit their own spiritual journey and understanding.
At The Mother’s Temple of Love, we are committed to fostering a community rooted in the diverse traditions of Wiccan spirituality. Our mission is twofold: to educate individuals about the rich tapestry of Wiccan practices, beliefs, and rituals, and to extend our hands in service to those in need, both human and animal alike.
